The Head Of Department's Message
Welcome to the Humanities and Languages Department.
The department’s objective is to create conducive learning environment and ensure fruitful learning experiences for students. The courses are tailored to meet the 5.0 model of education which develops both the educators' and learners' problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, creativity, innovation, and an orientation towards the production of goods and services. The course is designed for both post-A level and post-O-level students who undertake a 2-year/3-year Pre-service Diploma Course for secondary school teaching. The content covered is up to first-year degree level in both cases.
This is an exciting department with seasoned specialists in English, Geography and Environmental studies, History and Heritage studies, Chi Shona.
After graduation our students are guaranteed of getting employment opportunities in government and private schools because of the composition of our programmes that cover a wide array of topics.
